Designing a Geriatic care center was a first project on a large scale. Working on a project with an area of 2000sqm the real challenge was the decode the site which was triangular in shape. The site was right next to a hospital so it added to benefit of the geriatic centre.
The centre has five different zones which were the Administration , Recreation , Housekeeping, Patient wards and medical support. These were zoned according to the site analysis that was derived after visiting the place.
The centre has an element of greenery and was based on the concept of color physcology. Color physcology as a concept also lends the idea of how colors help in the healing process and how healing can be fun rather than being monotonus. I also looked at the materials that can be used in the center.
